New Sarasota Attractions Offers The Forest Residents A World-Class Experience
The Forest at Hi Hat Ranch is located in the corridor east of I-75, and that corridor is about to become home to two world-class attractions.
World Class Rowing
The Benderson Park
rowing facility upgrade will guarantee that the world's eyes will be looking dead center at the I-75 corridor in Sarasota. It will be of international tournament quality on the scale of any Olympic rowing venue, which makes it one of only a few in the world. This guarantees the potential for attracting major events and tourist from around the country and around the globe. A bid for the World Rowing Championships to be held in 2017 at this fantastic facility got a positive nod recently as reported in the Sarasota Herald Tribune.
Residents of the Forest can look forward to that and many other exciting events at this world class facility just a few minutes north on I-75. Recreational and competitive rowing is also one of the most popular team sports in the Sarasota and Manatee region. The Benderson Park offers many programs open to the public
.World Class Shopping
Now, the excitement in the area has doubled. The Mall at University Town Center
will rival most any other shopping destination in the state when it opens October 16, 2014. The mall has a connection by proximity to the Benderson Park. A new detailed 3d animation fly through video
of the mall shows that the combined facilities will create a mega entertainment and shopping destination. It looks to be one of the most unique concepts anywhere in the state and perhaps event the nation.
According to the information on the website, “The Mall will feature many distinctive retailers not found anywhere else in the local market. The center will include a combination of upscale fashion and lifestyle retailers as well as a selection of sit down restaurants.”
Robert Taubman, chairman, president and CEO of Taubman Centers who are constructing the facility adds, “The Mall at University Town Center will be one of the premier shopping destinations on the west coast of Florida and it will be the preferred shopping destination in the Sarasota region for locals and visitors alike.”
Both the University Town Center and Benderson rowing facility upgrade are slated to complete construction in 2014. The University Town Center and the Benderson rowing facility are anticipated to be joined by two hotels and office buildings. All this means even more opportunities for residents of The Forest. Life along the I-75 corridor is becoming one of the premier lifestyle areas in the region. The Forest is the only gated community of true acreage-size homesites in the area and the perfect place to build a large estate home that offers personal privacy along with close access to all this excitement.
